Amazon reports 16% annual increase in absolute emissions

Amazon’s absolute emissions increased 16% in 2025 as the company expanded its data centre network and commercial offering.
Total absolute emissions last year amounted to 80.85 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent, up from 69.65 million tonnes in 2024 and 65.38 million tonnes in 2023. In its latest sustainability report, the company also reports that its carbon intensity increased by 3%, to 112.8 grams of CO2 equivalent per dollar of revenue.
