Business leaders urge governments to accelerate electrification
"Those that fail to adapt will be left behind."
A coalition of major companies and business groups is calling on governments to accelerate electrification, arguing it is essential to strengthen energy security, reduce costs and maintain industrial competitiveness.
In a statement coordinated by the Corporate Leaders Group Europe (CLG Europe), business leaders from across sectors – including Google, Acciona, H&M, Unilever and IKEA – urge policymakers to speed up the transition away from fossil fuels and scale up electrification across transport, buildings and industry.
