Chloé Chief Sustainability Officer exits – replacement yet to be announced

Aude Vergne has left her role as Chief Sustainability Officer of luxury fashion brand Chloé – and the company is yet to confirm whether a replacement will be named.
Vergne made the announcement on her Linkedin account last week, saying she was “ready to take on new challenges” after nearly a decade at the French fashion house. She started as Fragrance, Eyewear and Business Development Director in 2016 and moved on to sustainability leadership in 2020.
Chloé did not immediately respond to CSO Futures’ request about whether it would appoint a new Chief Sustainability Officer, and who might replace Vergne.
Chloé impact goals as a purpose-driven company
In 2023, Chloé shifted to a “Société à Mission” corporate status under French law, recognising it legally as a purpose-driven company. The move reflected the brand’s commitment to support gender equality while adopting responsible environmental and social practices throughout its operations.
In 2024, the company also achieved B Corp status.
Most of the firm’s sustainability goals are focused on people, with several initiatives to reduce poverty in its supply chain, and empower women and girls in its countries of operation.
On the environmental side, Chloé is switching to lower-impact main materials and seeking to reduce the carbon footprint of its products by 30% by 2025.
