The European Commission has adopted its revised European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) with 70% fewer data points than the original draft.

The final standards introduce sweeping simplifications designed to reduce compliance costs while preserving the quality of sustainability disclosures under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
