From fear to lawsuits: Sustainability community reacts to EPA Endangerment Finding repeal

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) this week repealed a 2009 finding that greenhouse gas emissions are harmful to human health – dismantling the basis for many types of air pollution regulation.

The Trump administration argues that the repeal will save US taxpayers over US$1.3 trillion and eliminate federal GHG emission standards for all vehicles and engines of model years 2012 to 2027 and beyond, “restoring consumer choice” and reducing the cost of trucks.
