Global power demand is accelerating – but zero-emissions energy could cover 50% by 2030

Electrification and AI will lead global power demand to grow by more than 3.5% per year until 2030, but renewables and nuclear are still set to make up half of the world’s needs this decade, according to the International Energy Agency.
