Sweep and Climatiq close the supplier data gap in Scope 3 with guided product carbon footprints

Sweep, the AI powered sustainability platform, and Climatiq, the product carbon intelligence company, have announced a partnership that brings Climatiq’s ISO 14067 certified calculation engine into Sweep’s supply chain offering. Together, they power a new conversational AI experience that makes supplier product carbon footprints (PCFs) easier to request, easier to produce, and easier to trust.

Most companies now know that spend based estimates of their purchased goods (Scope 3 Category 1) won't hold up for much longer. But most suppliers have never calculated a PCF, and the data they do send is often incomplete, inconsistent, or impossible to check. This partnership helps global buyers fill the data gap for Scope 3.1 emissions reporting by supporting suppliers with little or no carbon expertise to produce audit ready product carbon footprints (PCFs) inside Sweep. PCF Campaigns let buyers ask each supplier, in a single request, for the footprints of everything they supply. Suppliers that already have PCFs simply upload them.
