UK publishes final sustainability reporting standards

The FCA is now consulting on an initiative to use the new standards for mandatory reporting.

The UK government has published its final sustainability reporting standards (SRS), which are largely based on the ISSB’s IFRS S1 and S2.

The country released the final version of the standards this week following a months-long consultation with businesses. The standards can currently be used for voluntary reporting, but may form the basis of mandatory reporting in the future.
