Beat Stocker has spent his entire 30-year career at NYSE-listed Whirlpool Corporation, but his deep knowledge of the company doesn’t spare him from the common change management challenges faced by most sustainability leaders.

“There's no doubt I understand what it means to sit at the other side of the table,” he tells CSO Futures about engaging with operational functions to ensure targets trickle down into everyday business decisions. “But let's be clear: change management is change management. When you're asking somebody to think and do and act differently, we still need to respect that process.”
