World’s ‘most influential’ companies could unlock over US$1tn for net zero transition: study
Only 18% of companies are reducing emissions at the pace required for a 1.5ºC pathway.
The 2,000 most influential companies in the world could collectively mobilise US$1.3 trillion of investment for climate action, according to new research from the World Benchmarking Alliance (WBA).
The nonprofit has assessed the climate targets, actions and investments of 2,000 of the world’s most influential companies – which together represent US$53 trillion in revenues and more than 55% of global emissions.
