Sustainability and circularity for supply chain resilience

From extreme weather events to trade wars, global supply chains are set to face ever more frequent disruptions in the coming years. Focusing on sustainability and circularity in procurement is therefore no longer a ‘nice to have’ – it’s an urgent business priority.

In this webinar, Jamie Shaw, Global Sustainability Director at flooring company Karndean and Alice Marmion, Supply Chain and Sustainability Advisor at Holistic Future Supply, will discuss the most effective strategies to improve supply chain resilience – from supplier engagement to materials innovation and training procurement teams.

Join us on June 12 at 3pm BST for lessons learned and advice on how a sustainability focus can future-proof supply chains.

Speakers

Jamie Shaw, Group Sustainability Director, Karndean

Jamie’s career has gone on an unusual journey for a sustainability expert since graduating with a degree in Environmental Management and Science…

Jamie now has over 20 years’ experience in various sustainability roles but for a very diverse set of organisations. These include a guided weapons company, a Formula 1 team, design and engineering in the built environment, the premium luxury vehicle sector with Jaguar Land Rover, rail infrastructure, and now flooring with Karndean.

Jamie has enjoyed the challenge of driving sustainability up the agenda at each organization, often delivering significant benefits and value against the flow and beyond expectations. Experiences include researching and implementing unique and innovative solutions such as waterless cleaning, industry firsts for circular solutions for complex materials, embedding sustainability in the design process, and generating £ millions in new revenue streams through a purpose driven sustainability approach.

Jamie’s professional passion is to integrate sustainability into the purpose, mission and vision of organisations so that sustainability transcends everything that the business does. If you can do this then you start to turn a cost model into a value add model that generates benefits for all stakeholders in social, environmental and financial ways.

In addition to his role with Karndean Jamie is also a tutor for the Cambridge Institute of Sustainable Leadership sharing his knowledge, experiences, and expertise with students all over the world who are starting to embed sustainability into their roles.
