After eliminating CSO role, Apple removes ESG from executive pay incentives
Apple is following the example of several other US corporations and moving away from overt sustainability action.
Apple has quietly removed ESG performance indicators from his top executives’ pay packages, less than three months after phasing out its top sustainability position.
The change in incentive policy appeared in a January SEC filing – ahead of Apple’s annual shareholder meeting this week – where the letters ESG simply do not appear.
