In a summer marked by deadly heatwaves and wildfires across Europe, the world’s top six fossil fuel corporations expect profits to skyrocket, according to a new Oxfam report.

BP, Chevron, Eni, ExxonMobil, Shell and TotalEnergies are announcing record profits for Q2 2026: a projected US$45 billion in total, up from US$23 billion in Q1.
