Bureau Veritas and NZCBS announce the opening of UK NZCBS verification
The UK NZCBS is a voluntary standard for new builds, existing buildings, and retrofits.
Bureau Veritas, a global leader in testing, inspection and certification, has worked with Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard Limited to develop the UK Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard (UK NZCBS) verification scheme. The scheme opened on 28 July 2026, with the first trained verifiers now ready to assess buildings.
The UK NZCBS is a voluntary standard for new builds, existing buildings, and retrofits. It sets out clear, measurable requirements across 13 sectors to define what Net Zero Carbon Aligned truly means in practice.
