Over 100 companies with a combined annual revenue of over US$1.5 trillion are urging governments to accelerate the deployment of clean electrification as “a central pillar of economic and industrial strategy”.

The group, which includes IKEA, Unilever, Uber and Nestlé, warn that current geopolitical tensions, market volatility and high energy prices highlight “a structural reality”: “Continued reliance on volatile fuel markets exposes economies to disruptions that drive price spikes, destabilise supply chains and delay investment,” they write.
