IKEA, Veolia and many others have voiced their support for the “timely implementation” of the EU’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), a few days after food and drinks firms requested a delay.

The new letter, published on June 3 and gathering signatures from more than 96 companies – including many plastics and recycling firms – and 31 recycling sector associations, warns that implementing the law within its established timeframe is essential to maintain investor confidence and support the continued development of recycling capacity in Europe.
