Geopolitical friction, industrial competition and shifting power dynamics are reshaping how nations engage with one another on climate and other issues. Meanwhile, worsening climate impacts pose ever greater risks to global security, stability and prosperity.  

International diplomacy and cooperation on climate issues must evolve with this shifting landscape to remain relevant and effective – from emerging coalitions and multilateral forums to trade relationships and regional engagement.
