After months of drafts and consultations, the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has published the final version of its Corporate Net Zero Standard, version 2.0.

This is the most comprehensive review of an SBTi standard to date, and the result of more than two years of work – including a reassessment of the initiative’s approach to carbon credits, which caused fiery debates in the spring of 2024.
