Ørsted is able to resume construction on its Sunrise Wind project after the US District Court for the District of Columbia granted its requested injunction against a Trump-issued stop work order.

Ørsted’s project off the coast of New York was the last of five offshore wind projects to have been ordered to stop construction by the Trump administration in December 2025.
