Wind turbine manufacturers installed 28,395 new turbines worldwide in 2025, up 23% year on year, according to the latest GWEC data.

The Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) highlights the sector’s “impressive growth” last year, despite difficult economic and political conditions, including the cancellation of permits by the Trump administration in the US.
