Chocolate companies have largely improved the breadth and quality of data they collect from their supply chains – but this data suggests that sustainability and human rights issues persist in the industry.

The chocolate industry has moved from estimates to real measurement of supply chain impacts, according to the latest Chocolate Scorecard, produced annually by NGO Be Slavery Free. But what the data disclosed by 49 of the world’s largest companies and retailers shows is that it is more crucial than ever to move from measurement to action.
