Companies call on EU to become ‘Electro Union’ running on 50% clean power by 2040

Companies including Norrsken, H&M and Oatly have published an open letter calling on the EU to become the ‘Electro Union’ and accelerate its clean electrification agenda to overcome its power vulnerabilities.
Noting that Europe is living through its third energy price shock in four years due to its dependence on “fuel it does not own, shipped through waters it does not control”, the group of around 20 major European companies argues it’s time for the EU to take control of its power.
