Sales of electric vehicles (EVs) increased by 51% in March across the EU as consumers tried to reduce their reliance on volatile petrol amidst the US-Israel war on Iran.
More than 224,000 new electric passenger cars were registered in March alone – representing 22% of all new car sales across 15 tracked markets and an estimated 21.2% across the EU – according to data published this week by New Automotive and E-Mobility Europe.
