SATCoL Head of Sustainability Majonne Frost on circular fashion’s hardest problems to solve
“We’ve definitely seen some progress, but not as much as what’s needed.”
In fashion circularity, the most difficult questions begin where the use phase ends. And for the Salvation Army Trading Company (SATCoL), the trading arm of The Salvation Army, that question arrives in astonishing volumes: 260 charity shops, donation centres, nationwide clothing banks, and roughly 70,000 tonnes of donated textiles processed each year in the UK.
Majonne Frost is the executive charged with turning that flow into a credible circular system – and the tension between what is technically possible, commercially viable and politically supported defines her work as Head of Environment and Sustainability.
