Climate impacts are accelerating across Europe, with record temperatures on land and in the sea and record areas lost to wildfires last year.

This is according to the annual European State of the Climate report, published this week by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).
